Summer Jobs - Wheelhouse roof - Done
<< Previous |
With the joining strips in place the new roof was watertight and we could sleep easy again without rigging a tarpaulin to keep the weather out.
We were both pretty pleased with the way the big roof build went and how neat it looked. When a job has been so long in the planning and with so many possible ways of doing it, it is nice when all the decisions are finally made, the materials used and the weather – is kept out.
Now we have a lighter looking roof that we can actually lift off if we need to. There are some finishing touches to come, such as rounding the corners and sealing the edges with PVC paint but it this was our biggest job of the year completed successfully.
